Our desire is that you are as informed as possible about all aspects of your dental treatment, including your Dental Insurance. Our practice accepts most dental insurance programs provided by the employers in our area. Due to the complexities of the various dental plans, coverage amounts can be a source of confusion.
The dental insurance provided by your employer typically has coverage limitations, yearly maximums and yearly deductibles. These amounts vary depending the range of plans that your employer offers and what you, as the employee, have selected.
We strive to keep up on the coverage provided by the various plans, but because of constant changes, that is very difficult to do. As a courtesy to you and your family, we will process claims and do the very best we can to maximize your benefits. However, there are times when problems arise, and only you can solve the matter with the insurance company. On those occasions, we ask that you respond to the requests as rapidly as possible so the claims can be processeed in a timely manner.
Although you have dental insurance, it is important to remember that you are completely responsible for your account. If you have dental insurance, we require all the necessary information so the claims can be processed immediately. If you do not have the information, you will be asked to pay the full amount for treatment at the time service is rendered. When the information is available, we will submit the claim and reimburse you as soon as insurance payment is received. Since most plans have a deductible plus a percentage co-pay, we will estimate your co-payment, requesting you pay that co-payment at the time of service.
